State Patrol To Tighten
No-Fault Enforcement
ATLANTA Beginning
June 1,1975 the Georgia State
Patrol will tighten its
enforcement on Georgia’s
new no-fault insurance law,
Georgia Public Safety Com
missioner Colonel Herman
Cofer said today.
“After June 1 troopers will
be directed to determine
whether every driver they
stop in routine road checks or
in other stops have proof of
no-fault insurance cover-'
age,” he said. The State
Patrol has been limiting its
number of citations on
violations of the new law to
give drivers the benefit of
becoming acquainted with
the law and to comply with it.
“We have given the public 60
days to comply with the new
law,” he said. “We now must
tighten our enforcement to
insure that everyone com
plies.”
Colonel Cofer said drivers
can show proof of no-fault
coverage by their policy,
insurance company furnish
ed IB card, an agents
evidence of policy binder or
by certified statement of self
insurance. If a driver cannot
show proof of insurance, an
officer may request the
driver to fill out a recertifi
cation form which goes to the
insurance company for veri
fication or he may issue a
citation on the spot.
The penalty for failure to
comply with the no-fault law
is a misdemeanor carrying
up to 12 months in jail and-or
SI,OOO fine.

Roasting Poultry Foil Wrapped
Poultry cooked wrapped in aluminum foil
can be very tender and juicy with shorter
cooking time. . .and they are self basting.
In addition, foil permits the use of higher
temperatures and therefore results in still
shorter cooking time.
Truss a seasoned bird and generously
wrap in foil. Place in pre-heated 450°F
oven.
Roast to an internal temperature of
185° F.
