Bobby of Decatur.
Mrs. Minnie Lee Hodges
together with her sister, Mrs.
Walter Knowles and Mr.
Knowles of Fincherville
visited their sister and her
husband Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Wilkerson of the Stark
Community Sunday after
noon.
Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Ireland
had as supper guests
Saturday evening Mr. and
Mrs. Oscar Stroud of Henry
County.
Sincere sympathy is ex
tended to Mrs. Euell Maddox
and family on the death of
her sister, Mrs. Jessie Mae
Smith of Flovilla last week.
Mrs. W. S. White returned
home Sunday after having
spent last week with her
daughter, Mrs. E. M. McCart
of Newton County. While
there Mrs. White’s children
entertained her with a party
on Sunday, January 4th, in
honor of her 84th birthday,
which was on January 3rd.

Boat Show
January 22-25

Georgians.
This year marks the
seventh time that Ed Conrad
has brought his Middle
Georgia Boat and Camping
Show to the Macon Coliseum.
The Show will run January
22-25, 1976, Noon to 10 p.m.
each day.
Besides a fine assortment
of the latest in boating and
camping equipment, there
will also be free Bass Fishing
Clinics daily, special films on
boating safety, a beauty
contest, free trout fishing for
the kids, and a surprise or
two.
According to reports from
the National Boat Show in
New York, boating sales are
already on the upswing
thanks to a reviving econo
my, and Conrad says his
Show in Macon will also
reflect that upswing with
more boats and campers
than ever before.

Buried Jan. 13
In Monroe Cos.
Francis Marion Weldon,
Sr., 71. of Jackson, died
Sunday in a Forsyth hospital
following a lengthy illness. A
native of Monroe County, Mr.
Weldon had lived in Jackson
since moving from Forsyth
two years ago.
A farmer and an employee
of the Georgia State Highway
Department, Mr. Weldon
was a member of Forsyth
Second Baptist Church,
Woodmen of the World, a
Mason and a Shriner.
Funeral services were held
at two o’clock Tuesday
afternoon, January 13th,
from the chapel of Andrew
Dillon and Son Funeral
Home, Forsyth. Burial was
in Monroe Memorial Gar
dens.
Mr. Weldon is survived by
two sons, Lewis Weldon of
Jackson and Francis Weldon.
Jr. of Forsyth; two daugh
ters, Mrs Mary Reeves of
Jackson and Mrs. Martha
McWhirther of Macon; two
sisters, Mrs. Edna Owen and
Mrs. Evelyn Moore, both of
Forsyth.

of Haisten Funeral Home.

Jackson City Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, widow of Mr.
Albert M. (York) Smith, died
early Wednesday morning,
January 7th, at the Georgia
Baptist Hospital in Atlanta
where she had been a patient
for two weeks. She was a
