FIRST EASTER
Mary Magdalene Meets the Master
Mark 16:9-11
Now when Jesus was risen,
Early the first day of the w r eek,
He appeared first to Mary Magdalene
Out of whom he had cast seven devils.
And she went and told them
That had been with him
As they mourned and wept.
And they, when they had heard
That he was alive
And had been seen of her.
Believed not!

Fleeing "Great Wave
A group of 19 refugees,
fleeing the foreseen devasta
tion of the Florida peninsula
by a “great wave,” are
camping at Indian Springs
State Park. The group,
including businessmen,
housewives with children and
businesswomen led by Rev.
David Pickern, left their
homes in Florida to seek
refuge on higher ground as a
result of a vision experienced
by Mrs. Dulce Garcia of
Guatemala.
Mrs. Garcia predicted
devastation in Alaska, Cali
fornia, Mexico and Peru. The
vision included a great wave
of water that would engulf
the entire state of Florida.
The group, all members of
PERSONAL
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
Smith of Flovilla spent
Thursday and Friday at
Callaway Gardens in Pine
Mountain, Mrs. Smith going
over for Spring Workshop of

tional Food Service Society.

the Southside Baptist Church
of Zephyr Hills, Florida,
prayed and recieved the
message to leave Florida and
arrived at Indian Spring
State Park last Thursday
morning at about 3:30 a.m.
Indian Springs is situated 685
feet above sea level while the
highest point in Florida is a
vulnerable 330 feet.
In spite of the short notice,
the group arrived at Indian
Springs well prepared travel
ing by church bus and by
privately owned cars. They
are in tents and have ample
food supplies. The group is
prepared to remain at the
park until they recieve a
“message” to leave.
Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Glaze

CARD OF THANKS
The family of William
Henry Powell, Sr. wishes to
thank their many friends for
the flowers, cards, tele
grams, calls, food, prayers
and other acts of kindness
shown during their hours of
bereavement. Elizabeth
and children.
The group at Indian
Springs is only a portion of
the total that left Zephyr
Hills. According to Rev.
Pickern, about 30 of his
congregation left Florida,
but some went other places.
The Zephyr Hills group is
not the only one that has fled
the state fearing the devasta
tion of the “great wave.” A
group from Miami has found
refuge in Tennessee and
another group has settled in
North Carolina awaiting the
catastrophe.
