I have visited in many homes during the past weeks and I appreciate your
hospitality. If for any reason I was unable to see you, I apologize, for I DO WANT
YOUR VOTE.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of my position
concerning the Tax Commissioners office of Butts County:
1 - OFFICE HOURS
This office will be kept open from 8 am to 5 pm each business day.
This means business may be transacted during the lunch hour if
desired. I will personally insure this office to be open every
Saturday morning during the tax season. This will be done at no
additional cost to the taxpayers of Butts County.
2 - ACCOUNTING SYSTEM
Using the most up-to-date and approved methods of accounting, a
proper set of books and records will be established and made
available to all interested parties for their inspection at any time.
In addition, these books and records will be turned over to the
county commissioners on a monthly basis for their approval.
3- BUSINESS OFFICE
I feel this office belongs to the citizens who may rest assured that
while transacting business in this office, they will be treated in a
courteous, efficient and businesslike manner. SINCE THIS IS A
BUSINESS OFFICE, IT WILL BE RUN AS ONE !!!
4 COMMUNICATIONS
I will establish a channel of communication between the
Taxpayer, the County Assessors and the County
Commissioners. This means if you have a question
concerning YOUR taxes beyond the mathematics, YOUR
question will be presented before the proper group and their
answer will be returned to you as soon as possible IN
WRITING.
Please give me the opportunity to prove to you that I can and will do what I
promise.
Remember, Tuesday, August 10th is YOUR time to do the talking.
