That is the thing the leading silverites are do ing. Every silver organ and orator begins every utterance on the silver question with denunciatory exclama tions directed against the “money power,” “shy locks,” “goldbugs,” “Wall street,” “Lombard street/’ and so fourth. The truth is they are follow ing the “money power” as no set of political schemers ever did. It must be acknowledged that. Jones, Stewart, Walcttt and Sibley are the I ig four o' i the silver movement and each of ikon are multi-millionaires. The i'-rsl flirt • > are large silver mine owners and toe the last is willing to piuuvn a r tiou of hie great wealth in order to be elected President. He know •, thens ! no opening for him in either of the old parties. A Washington special to be . lew York Mail and Express says that these • worthy patriots comprising Die silver | ring of multi-millionaires have formed 1 a syndicate and have bought 50.000,- 00# worth of silver bullion and stored it away, believing that the free silver movement is going to succeed, and that prices will spurt up. Then they will throw it on the market at amg profit. It is said that the ring contri-1 buted ten millions of mono; ana that j capitalists in Wall and Lombard street j ; put up forty millions. What conster- j nation there will be in the ranks of ; those who are honestly but fooli-h'y following these scheming millionaire:-, when they discover that they ha . c been led into the jaws of Wall i Lombard streets,” and are dein v. body and breeches into the hands of the “money power.” It is the old cry of stop thief. — Valdosta Times. The following letter from George Russell, a citizen of Lanrinburg, N. G., v.ilj prove of interest to many of our readers, who mav be suffering from’that dreaded disease —rheu- matism. Laurinburg, N. C., April 3, 1895. Dr. Williams’ Medicine Company, Schen ectady, N. V. Oentlemcn .-—During the summer of 1888 I had a severe attack of typhoid fever which left mv constitution in a wrecked and broken down condition. Ever afterwards 1 had to be very careful not to get the least damp for if I did an attaisk of rheumatism would be tire result. 1 was.able, however, to attend tobusi ness the most of my time though I could never say that I was well. 1 continued this w.:y till’the summer of 1894 when I was taken with a more severe attack of rheuma tism which commenced first, in the back of my head and neck, then rny shoulders be came involved. I suffered untold agonies, could not rest day or night, could get in no p aition that would give me rest even tor a few moments, could not sleep more than 15 minutes at any one time, had no appetite, my fie ii was reduced till I weighed, ontv 121 lbs. The disease moved down or rather spread to the small of the back and into both hips then to the left knee joint. I could not walk up tlmjjoor steps, but had to crawl out and into the house. About this time i was taken with a shortness of breath which one doctor pro nounced heart dropsy, another an excess of water in the chest. I gave up all hopes of ever getting any better or even living for more than a few months. I wrote many of my relations that I did not expect to live but a very short time. Of course I had been under the care of men who called themselves good doctors all this time, I had six of them to at tend me during my sickness. T tried every thing that I could get that was sal' 1 to her. Jit people who had rheumatism but instead of getting relief 1 continued to grow worse. One day a friend came to visit me and like all other friends hail o reined v for my ills. Her remedy was Dr. Williams'Pink Fills for Palo People. She showed me a paper which praised them very highly. I told her that I had no faith in them and"as for the advertise ment in the paper, it was nothing but mere bosh. But like a drowning man that will catch at a straw I concluded to try the pills I commenced to get better from the first day. I took six boxes and am well, ray appetite "is good, I sleep well, have gained in fiesb from 121 lbs to 169 lbs. I have been in the rain till I was literally drenched without;experiencing any annoyance, afterwards. T can run, jump, hop andskipe.pialto a sixteen-year-old boy. Any one doubting this statement can be sat isfied by writing me. * Yours truly, GEORGE RUSSELL. ' Hr, George Russell has, this day appeared in person before me a Justice of the Peace for Richmond County, N.
