In our style of climate, with its sodden
changes of temperature—ra n, wind and
Eundiine often intermingled in a single
day,—it is no wonder that our children,
friends and relatives are so frequently
tak-n from us by neglected colds, half the
deaths resulting directly from tins cause.
A bottle of Bosehee's German Syrup kept

prevent serious sickness, a I large doctor's
bill, and perhaps death, by the use of three
of four doses. For curing Consumption,

Catholic School.
We call the special attention of our read¬
ers to the Convent school at Sharon, under
the direction of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
This school although it has been established
only one year, has already won a good name.
There is one thing the patrons may depend
upon with implicit confidence, and that is,
that all pupils placed under the care of the
Sisters will be thoroughly and correctly
taught. It is one thing to go to school, but
entirely a different affair to go to competent
and efficient teachers—a science is not

Brinkley Academy.
We learn with great pleasure that
Prof. Sterling G. Brinkley, of Warren¬
ton ; has been called to preside over the
above named Institution as Principal,
and Mrs. J. R. Swaiti, Assistant. The
Brinkley Academy is located some two
and a half miles from Norwood, sur¬
rounded by an intelligent and enter¬
prising people, and with the above
written able corps of teachers must
become an important educational point.
Board can be obtained at 67 per month,
and pupils are free from the temptations
offered by towns and villages. The. pat¬
rons should be proud of the prospects
of their school, and see to it that it is
kept at the highest point of prosperity
Prof. B. is a gentleman of a high onier
of talents, and has already won a most
enviable reputation as a teacher, and
seconded, as lie is by so able an assistant
as Mrs. Swain, it seems easy to predict
a long course of usefulness to the
Brinkley Academy. See advertisement
in another column.
