Four Cherokee Indians (three men and

located themselves on Clay croek, in
Lumpkin county.
There has been more cotton shipped
than received in Columbus since August
31st, 1880. Thu stock oil hand at the
beginning of the year was 2,000 bales.
Talbot county is credited for 1880-81
with over 10,000 bales of cotton. Her
