CELEBRATION OF THREE SUNDAY SCHOOLS At Sharon Thursday, of J.aBt Week. Thursday of last week is long to be remembered and will ever occupy a prominent page in the history of .She. on. Two weeks previous to the a pointed time the Sharon Union S. school discussed the propriety of a dis¬ trict Sunday school picnic, which re¬ sulted in obtaining the consent of Mr EJward Croake, who kindly offered the “down town Park” which was HC cepted as the most appropriate place for the occasion. Thursday morning dawned with a clear sky, giving promise that every hope cherished by the many little Sun¬ day school workers should be realized. Early in the day buggies, wagons and vehicles of almost every description came pouring in from almost every di recti on. Tlie grounds had been thor¬ oughly prepared with numerous facili¬ ties of enjoyment; among which the H t ml to be observed after passing the gate of entrance was the lemonade stand of It. L. S. .Jackson, where de¬ licious drinks * I various discriptions could be obtainel. Passing on the next entertainment to greet the eye was suspended swings where the little boys seemed to delight in seeing who could accomplish the feat of pumping highest. Intermission for dinner, which was spread out on a table thirty feet in length and every one present invited to partake.
