Taliaferro Superior court for 1889, ask
leave to submit the following General

sufficient for a thorough examination of
the public records of the county offices,

with instructions to make report to
the next Grand Jury, and recommend
that they receive two dollars per day
for their services.

Wo find the books ot tlie Justices of
Peace and Notaries Public properly and
correctly kept.
We find on examination that the jail is
kept in as cleanly and safe condition as
such a structure can bo. The Court

Wo call the attention of the

We recommend that a bridge he
built across the (South prong of the
Ogechee river on the Cl aivfuidville
and White Plains road, rear tlio resi¬
dence of David A. Saggus at as early
date as possible; also call the attention
of the county Commissioners to the
unsafe condition of the bridge across
Gray Bill creek on Crawfojrclyille and
Powclton road. We find that some of
the roads have been well worked and
much attention given thereto, while
others have been too carelessly attend¬
ed to. Wo most earnestly recoin
mend Unit tlio District road commis¬
sioners use every effm t in comphtince
with law iiihaving public roads work¬
ed more thoroughly indeavoring to
haye the roads elevated in the center
as far as practicable, and all loose
rock and obstructions removed thal
render travel uncomfortable. We
recommend that application be made
to the county authorities for plank
two inches thick and not less than
sixteen feet in length to be substituted
for poles and rails now used for bridges.

the ensuing year, be paid SI .50 p* i

Our County Board of Commission¬
ers having recommended that a blank

Superior court, dedicated respectively
to the memory of Quine,i O’Neal and
Charles Alien Beazley, late of this conn
ty deceased, and they having further
asked our endorsement of their recom¬

out, y.ould la: hut a just tribute to
