pleasant caller on her daughter,
Miss Grace, at the home of Mrs.
W. A. Stokes one day last week.
Messrs. Allen and Everett High
smith of Jacksonville, Ela., are vis
iling their parents, Mr. and Mrs
H. C Highsmith.
Miss Ivory Brooker say now that
she is old enough and that women
has the right to vote, that she in
tends putting her name on the re
gistration hook.
Quite a num! er of the ladies of
this district have prepared them
selves for any forth coming elect’on.
Mr. Ira Thomas was the guest of
Miss Ivory Brooker Sunday after
noon.
Mr. James Dykes is hauling lum
ner from Raybon for the construc
tion of his new home he is about to
erect on his lot. A car load of dress
ed lumber has already arrived.

Bloom was the week-end guest of
Miss Myrtle Stokes.
Mrs. J. U. Chambers and little
son, Chester Yates spent the week
with her sister, Mrs., J. B. Lewis.
Mrs. W. M. Roberson was calling
on Mrs. F. 0. Knox Sunday, after*
noon.
Mrs. W. A. Stokes made a busi
ness trip to Waycross Saturday.

ris will be glad to know she is bet
ter from her recent illness,
Miss Ocie Dykes, who has been
confined to her home since Thurs
day night is slightly’ improved at
this writing. Her absence from
High school is very much repreted.
Mr. Ganes White of Atlanta
spent between trains here Monday
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
B. White.
Mr. Rufus Highsmith of James
town, N. C., is home sick with ma
laria. Its very evident that North
Carolina does not agree with him.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. White and
children attended fair at Hoboken
last Thursday.
Messrs. Bill Peek and^ Edwin
Roberson and Miss Eula Brooker
spent Saturday in Hoboken attend
ing the Fair.
Miss Creola Roger is at home this
week on account of Sickness. We
hope to see her return to the High
School with her sunny smiles.
Mr. Keith Lewis spent the week
end with home folks, he returned
to Piedmont Monday night.
Mr. F. 0. Knox made a business
trip to Waynesville Monday morn
ing.

required personally, or by attorney, to be and
appear at the November Term of the Superior
Court, to be held in and for the said County,
on the fourth Monday in November, next, then
and there to answer the plaintiff’s demand in
an action of complaint, as above stated, or in
default thereof the Court will proceed as to
justice shall appertain.
