Whereas, heretofore, on March 27,
1944, Torn Fason (or Facon) and
Daisey Fason (or Facon) did exe
cute to Roy Harper, a certain se
curity deed to the following land:
All that certain City lot, num
ber 13 (thirteen) in The Brooker
Addition to the City of Nahunta,
Brantley County, Georgia, said lot
being that lot in the Brooker addi
tion numbered 13 that lays East of
the Old Hortense-Nahunta Public
Road,
in Brantley County, Georgia, to
secure a note of even date there
with, as well as any other indebted
new or liability, present or future,
grantors to grantee, all as shown
by * security deed recorded in the
office of the clerk of the superior
court of Brantley County, Georgia,
in Mortgage Book 23, at page 268;
and,
Whereas, said note is past due
and unpaid;
Now, therefore, according to the
original terms of said security deed
•nd the laws in such cases made
•nd provided, the undersigned will
expose for sale to the highest and
best bidder for cash the above-des
cribed land, after proper advertise
ment, on the first Tuesday in July,
1953, between the legal hours of
sale before the courthouse door in
Nahunta, Brantley County, Georgia.
The proceeds from said sale will be
used, first to payment of the in
debtedness secured by said security
deed, interest, and expenses, and the
balance, if any, delivered to the
said Tom Fason (or Facon) and
Daisey Fason (or Facon).

County, Georgia, said lot being that
lot in The Brooker Addition num
bered 6 that lies East of the Old
Hortense - Nahunta Public Road;
in Brantley County, Georgia, to
secure a note of even date there
with, all as shown by a security
deed recorded in the office of clerk
of the superior court of Brantley
County, Georgia, in Mortgage Book
27, at page 116; and,
Whereas, on September 4, 1948,
th© said John M. Highsmith con
veyed to the undersigned the said
note, the said security deed and the
said land therein described; and
Whereas, the said note is past
due and unpaid;
Now, therefore, according to the
original terms of said security deed
and the laws in such cases made
and provided, the undersigned will
expose for sale to the highest and
best bidder for cash the above
described land, after proper adver
tisement, on the first Tuesday in
July, 1953, between the legal hours
of sale before the courthouse door

the Brooker Addition numbered 2
that lies West of the Old Hor
tense - Nahunta Public Road in
Brantley County, Georgia, to se
cure a note of even date there
with, all as shown by security deed
recorded in the office of the Clerk
of the Superior Court of Brant
ley, Georgia, in Mortgage Book 19,
at pages 443-444; and;
Whereas, said note is past due
and unpaid;
Now, therefore, according to the
original terms of said security deed
and the laws in such cases made
and provided, the undersigned will
expose for sale to the highest and
best bidder for cash the above
described land, after proper adver
tisement, on the first Tuesday in
July, 1953, between the legal hours
of sale before the courthouse door

Bids Asked for
Nahunta Water Meters
The City of Nahunta requests bids
for the repairing of water meters
now on hand and additional water
meters to be purchased for the city
water system. Details on how many
meters are to be repaired and how
many new meters to be bought can
be secured at the office of the city
clerk in the Harper Building, Na
hunta, Ga.
Bids are also requested on the
removal of the meters to be re
paired and the re-installation of
ame, also the installation of the
new meters. Combined bids of re
pairs, purchase, rem /al and in
stallation will be considered.
The City of Nahunta reserves the
right to reject any and all bids. Bids
should be in the city clerk’s office
not later than Saturday, June 13, at
noon.

All creditors of the estate of
Eliza B. Jacobs, deceased, late of
said County, are hereby notified to
render in their demands to the un
dersigned according to law, and all
persons indebted to said estate are
required to make immediate pay

NOTICE OF ELECTION
In pursuance to an Act approved
March 2, 1953, known as "Livestock
Running at Large”, I hereby notify
all the qualified voters of Brantley
County, Georgia, that an election
for the purpose of voting as to
whether or not the above said Act
shall be adopted and applicable to
Brantley County to prohibit live
stock from running at large or stray
ing upon public roads will be held
cn Wednesday, July Ist, 1953, at
the usual places in Brantley County,
Georgia, for holding elections.
This notice of election is pub
lished as provided in said Act.

TWO CANDIDATES QUALIFY IN
PIERCE TAX RECEIVER RACE
Two candidates had this week qualified in the race
for Tax Receiver of Pierce county to fill the unexpired
term of the late Lonnie B. Smith. The election is set for
Wednesday, July 1, and candidates have until noon, Tues
day, June 16, to qualify with Mrs. Onie J. Aspinwall,
Ordinary.
Candidates now in the race arc Frank C. Dixon and
Mrs. Lonnie B. Smith.
Both the election for Tax Receiver and the no-fence
election will be held on July 1, but separate ballots and
ballot boxes will be used for the election.
