respectfully shows:

1 The object of said corporation
is pecuniary gain and profits.
3. The general nature of the busi
ne® Or businesses to be transacted
is U transport persons and property
for hire; and, to do any and all acts
and things necessary, convenient,
expedient, ancillary or in aid to the
accomplishment of the foregoing.
4. Petitioners further desire that
said corperation be vested with all
the rights and powers now or here
afte» given to do any and all things
which may be needful or proper in
the operation of the above describ
ed business, and that said corpora
tion have all of the powers enum
erated in Sections 22-1827 and 22-
1338, Georgia Code Annotated, and
soch powers as may hereafter be
given by law.
5. The maximum number of
Shares Os stock shall be fifty (50)
•f the par value of ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($100.00) per share, all
of which shall be common stock.
However, the amount of capital
with which the corporation shall
begin business shall be not less
than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).
The corporation shall be authorized
to issue additional shares up to the
maximum sum above stated, and
thereafter, from time to time, to
reduce the amount of capital out
standing, but not below the mini
mum above stated, and all this,
upon a majority vote of the Board
of Directors.
0. The time for which the cor
poration is to have existence is 35
years, with the privilege of renewal
of the charter, from time to time,
upon the expiration of said periods
•f 35 years.
7. The County in which the prin
cipal office of the corporation is to
be located is Brantley County.
Georgia, but the privilege is desired
of establishing branch offices and
places of business both within and
without the State of Georgia.
8. The name and Post Office ad
dress of each of the applicants for
charter are as follows:

hunta, Georgia.
Mrs. Mattie Dowling, Nahunta,
Georgia.
9. Petitioners further desire that
by-laws of the corporation shall be
adopted by tne common stock hold
ers, and such by-laws shall provide
for the officers of the corporation,
the manner of their selection, and
such other rules appropriate to by
laws which have as their purpose
the control and management of the
corporation, including provisions
whereby the by-laws may be amend
ed.
10. Your petitioners herewith ex
hibit a certificate of the Secretary
of the State of Georgia as required
by Section 22-1803, Georgia Code
Annotated.
WHEREFORE, petitioners pray to
be incorporated under the name
and style aforesaid with all the
rights, powers, privileges and im
munities herein set forth, and such
additional rights, powers and pri
vileges as may be necessary pro
per or incident to the conduct of
the business aforesaid, and as may
be inherent in or allowed to like
corporations under the laws of the
State of Georgia as they now exist

present pavement, located in
Pierce & Brantley Counties on
what is locally known as the
Patterson-Brunswick road, State
Route 32. The grading and pav
ing section consists of 8.042 miles,
beginning at the end of the pre
sent pavement in Patterson and
extending to the present pave
ment 2.647 miles west of State
Route 23. The section to be re
surfaced begins at this point and
extends east to State Route 23.
Otherwise known as Federal Aid
Secondary Project S 0609 (1) in
Pierce & Brantley Counties. The

Said work shall begin within
ten (10) days after formal execu
tion of contract and shall be
completed within 200 working
days. When contract has been
executed, written notice shall be
given the Contractor, at which
time, and not before, work may
be started.
Contract executed pursuant to
this Notice is binding on the
State Highway Department, as
such. Said contract will not
create liability, expressed or im
plied, against the undersigned
Chairman of the State Highway
Board, as an individual nor a
gainst any employee of the State
Highway Department, in his or
her individual capacity.
The minimum wage to be paid

under this contract shall be the
amounts set out in the Labor
Provisions included in the Pro
posal. The attention of bidders is
directed to the Special Previsions
covering employment of labor,
methods of construction, sublet
ting or assigning the contract and
to the use of domestic materials.
Plans and specification* are on
file at the office of the under
signed at Atlanta, and a’ Savan
nah, Georgia, and at the office
of the Board of County Commis
sioners of Pierce and Brantley
Counties at Blackshear, Ga., and
Nahunta, Georgia, where they
may be inspected free of charge.
Copies of the plans may be ob
tained upon payment in advance
of the sum of $3.00. Copies of the
General Specifications may be
obtained upon payment in ad
vance of the sum of $3.00, which
sums will not be refunded.
Proposals must be submitted
on regular forms, which will be
supplied by the undersigned, and
may be obtained by a payment,
in advance of $5.00 for each pro
posal issued. When the proposal
is submitted, it must be accom
panied by a certified check, cash
ier’s check, negotiable United
States Bonds, or other acceptable
security in the amount of $3,000.-
00, and must be plainly marked
“Proposal for Road Construc
tion,” County and Number, and
show the time of opening as ad
vertised. Check of the low bid
der will be cashed and all other
checks will be returned as soon
as the contract is awarded, un
less it is deemed advisable by
the State Highway Department
to hold one or more checks. If
an unusual condition arises, the
State Highway Department re
serves the right to cash all
checks. Bidders Bond will not be
accepted. Bond will be required
of the successful bidder as re
quired by law.
Contracts will not be awarded
to contractors who have not been
plated on the list of qualified
Contractors prior to the date of
award. No proposal will be is
sued to any bidder later than 9
