Mrs. Wade Colvin has returned
to her home after spending the past
week with her granddaughter, Mrs.
Cochran and family, in Hazlehurst.
Rev. J. C. Shepard, Mrs. Wade
Colvin, Mrs. G. C. Wallis attended
the homecoming at Satilla Baptist
Church at Hortense on Sunday.

Mrs. J. H. Sikes is visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Strickland at
Hortense this week.
Mr. J. B. Carter of Rome, Ga.,
spent the past 12 days here with
Iris family.
Friends will be glad to know that
Tommie Dean, a patient in an Au
gusta hospital is reported improv
ing nicely. Tommie is a grandson
of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thomas
of Hoboken.

are spending several days in Dania,
Fla. They will visit their daughter,
Mrs. W. A. Thomas and family dur
ing their stay in Florida.

Little Miss Carolyn Rose Larkins
was honored on Tuesday afternoon,
June 8, with a birthday party on
the occasion of her eighth birthday.
The festive decoration for the
party in ‘On the Good Ship, Lolly
Pop”, motif. The cake was made
in the shape of a ship, decorated
with candles and wrapped with
golden threaded black ribbon and
placed on the ship which centered
the dining table. .
The little guests enjoyed favors
of balloons, bubble gum and green,
red and pink caps, with bills of
gold. Cup cakes topped with lolly
pops and ice cream were served.
Guests included Margaret and
Diane Davis, Silvia and Cheryl Kel
ly, Jill Jones, Pern Kelly, Norman
and Mike Dowling, Terry Thomas.
