equipment and other things neces

miles of paving, located in Brantley
County on what is locally known
as the Patterson - Brunswick road,
State Route 32. Beginning at State
Route 23, approximately 10.7 miles
east of Patterson and extending east
toward Brunswick, otherwise known
as Federal Aid Secondary Project

work will be let in one contract.

The attention of bidders is directed 1
to the Special Provisions covering
employment of labor, methods of
construction, subletting or assigning
the contract and to the use of do
mestic materials.
Plans and specifications are cd
file at the office of the undersigned
at Atlanta, and at Savannah, Geor
gia; and at the office of the Board
of County Commissioners of Brant
ley County at Nahunta, Georgia,
where they may be inspected free
of charge. Copies of the plans may
be obtained upon payment in ad
vance of the sum of $3.00. Copies
of the General Specifications may
be obtained upon payment in ad
vance of the sum of $3.00, which
sums will not be refunded.
Proposals must be submitted on
regular forms, which will be sup
plied by the undersigned, and may
be obtained by a payment, in ad
vance of $5.00 for each proposal is
sued. When the proposal is sub
mitted, it must be accompanied by
a certified check, cashier’s check,
negotiable United States Bond, or
other acceptable security in the
amount of $1500.00, and must be
plainly marked “Proposal for Road
Construction,” County and Number,
and show the time of opening as
advertised. Check of the low bidder
wiH be cashed and all other checks
will be returned as soon as the.

deemed advisable by the State
Highway Department to hold one
or more checks. If an unusual con
dition arises, the State Highway De
partment reserves the right to cash
all checks. Bidders Bond will not
be accepted. Bond will be required
of the successful bidder as required
by law.

placed on the list of qualified Con
traciors prior to the date of award
No proposal will be issued to any

tions, Ninety (90) percent of the
amount of work done in any calen

A charge of $5.00 will be made
for each proposal issued.
Such a bond will be required of
the successful bidder as required
by law for contractors contracting
with the State Highway Depart
ment of Georgia.
Contracts will not be awarded to
contractors who have not been
placed on the list of qualified con
tra tors prior to the date of award.
