T/Sgt. Marvin Lee has been home
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse
Lee in Nahunta and his wife and
children in Waycross for several
weeks. He left last week to go to
Camp Kilmer, N. J. from where he
will go to Newfoundland where he
will be stationed for some time.
His wife and children will join him
in Newfoundland in three months.
Mrs. J. W. Davis is visiting her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. High
smith in Abbeville, Ga.
Mrs. Lola Johns spent several
days with Mr. and Mrs. Bennie
Johns in Augiista.

Mr.' and Mrs Jesse Lee and son,
Guindell, have returned fro ma trip
to New York, Maryland and New
Jersey. They Were accompanied to
Camp Kilmer, N.J., by T/Sgt. Mar
vin Lee. They were joined by their
son, James at the home of their
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred vizt
hum and family in Maryland.' They
visited a sister of Mr. Lee, Mrs.
Paul Heller at Morestown, N.J.
They visited many points of inter
est including Washington, D.C.
They were accompanied home by
James Lee. After spending a few
days with his parents, James left
on Sunday to return to Athens,
Tenn., where he is employed.
Mrs.. Georgia Belle Dowling en
tertained her Sunday School Class
with an outing at St. Simons on
Tuesday of last week. Mrs. E. A.
Moody assisted Mrs. Dowling as
chaperon. Members of the class
going were; Steve and Jimmy
Ryals, Craig Roddenberry, Marvin
Griffin, Harold Chancey and Roger
Chancey.
Mrs. A. S. Mizell, Mrs. C. F. Star
nes and Miss Marvine Mizell re
turned Saturday from St. Simons
Island where they spent a week.
Mrs. J. B. Lewis returned home
on Monday of this week from a
visit of six weeks in the North. She
visited her nephew, Clae Holmes ib
boro, Penn.; visited her daughter,
their Mountain Lodge near Wells
boro, Penn.; visited her raughter,
Mrs. lone Hoffman in Somerville,
N.J. and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Lewis
in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Lewis
announced that her granddaughter
Mrs. June Lewis Brown was re
cently maried to Lt. Col. Guy Qualls
of Washington, D.C.
Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Anderson of
Plymouth, Fla., have returned home
after visiting relatives*.
F. Monroe Smith and daughter,
Linda, of Lakeworth, Fla., were
guests of Mrs. Geneva A. Stahl last
week.
