Company” is being organized in
Georgia under the direction of
LCDR Harry Waddell, USN, Of
ficer in Charge of the Navy Re
cruiting Station, Macon.
The 78 man company will en
train on January 28 for Navy re
cruit training in San Diego,
Calif.
The all-state idea is new in
Navy recruiting practices and i^

Oil Heaters Cause
Many Fatal Fires
A recent survey made by the
National Fire Protection Associa
tion shows that oil heaters— that
is stove, range and space heaters
—cause about a fourth of fatal
fires in dwellings. Os these, one
third are caused by portable heat
ers, which in many places are
still in frequent use— often in
tenement dwellings that are espe
cially vulnerable to the spread of
fire and loss of life Because of
these things, the National Board
of Fire Underwriters has issued
the following precautions:
