J. C. Shepard with a farewell
reception at which time the
church presented them as a fare

vice. Bro. Shepard resigned on
October Ist, after seven years as
pastor. He is now serving as
pastor of Rehobeth Baptist
Church in Pierce county.

The WMU of the Hoboken Bap
tist Church now has three circles.
Circle No. 1 met this month with
Mrs. John Larkins. Mrs. A. L.
Dukes is their circle leader.
Circle No. 2 met with their
leader, Mrs. N. C. Davis Jr., at
Noelda Farm. Mrs. Rupert Jones,
circle leader, entertained Circle
No. 3 at her home. All meetings
were well attended. Two new
members, Mrs. Ray Thomas and
Mrs. Jack Moore, joined the
WMU this month.

Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Dukes at
tended the Dukes family reunion
last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Nolan C. Davis
Jr. are nearing completion of a
lovely new 12-room house at
Noelda Farm in the Schlatterville
section. It is a story and a half
Early American salt box type
house and very unusual for this
part of the country. The Davis’
did most of the work themselves.
