Injured in Fall
E. E. McNeal, district manager
of the Woodmen of the World
in Waycross, was seriously in
jured in a fall Wednesday, Feb.
15, at the 8.0. W. Sportsman
Club camp at Long Lake.
Mr. McNeal was replacing a
pump at the b.O.w. camp when
he slipped and fell approximate
ly 12 feet into the well landing
on some boards covering the
water. He suffered a broken
penny for

dition is reported as satisfactory.

Is Winner in
Camellia Show
Mrs. D. J. Harrison was a
winner in the 9th annual Camel
lia Show presented by the Way
cross Garden Clubs in coopera
tion with the American Camellia
Society at the A.C.L. Club House
last Wednesday.
Mrs. Harrison was awarded the
silver cup for winning most blue
ribbons for best arrangements.
She was winner of the Tri Color
Ribbon for her “Golden Isle of
Georgia” arrangement. She is a
member of the Okefenokee Gar
den Club.
Approximately 800 blooms in
addition to many artistic ar
rangements were on display in
a setting of myrtle moss and
other native shrubs used in dec
orating the club house.
DAIRY EFFICIENCY
Dairymen for the University of
Georgia Agricultural Extension
Service have said that one of the
greatest needs in Georgia dairy
ing is more efficiency. To try to
aid in correcting this situation,
the College of Agriculture is
sponsoring, as a service to Geor
gia dairymen, three dairy pro
duction short courses.
