For Sheriff
TO the voters of

a candidate for the office of
sheriff of Brantley County, sub
ject to the county Democratic
primary to be held April 18.
I am a native of Brantley
County and have lived here all

the time spent in the armed
services during World War 11.
If you see fit to elect me as
your sheriff, I will make every
effort to serve you in an honest

For Sheriff
TO THE VOTERS OF
BRANTLEY COUNTY:
This is to announce that I
have qualified as a candidate for
the office of sheriff to succeed
myself in the county Democra
tic primary to be held April 18.
As you know, I was elected in
a special election held in Nov
ember, 1954, to fill an unexpir
ed term of two years and one
month, for which I am humbly
thankful. This, it seems to me,
was an endorsement of my past
services of 11 years rendered to
Brantley County, which was
done fairly, honestly and justly
according to the best judgment
of my conscience.
My records have been kept,
papers served and the office run
according to law and it will con
tinue to be operated on the same
basis if the people of the best
county in Georgia see fit to let
me serve a further endorsement
term.
The duties of the office re
quire attention every day and
for this simple reason it might
be impossible for me to see you
personally. However, I will make
an effort to do so.
If I fail to see you, I humbly
request your active support in
the campaign and your vote at
the ballot box on election day.
My H years service as your
sheriff from 1934 to 1945, coupl
ed with approximately five years
service with the Georgia Bureau
of Investigation, plus two years
more service as sheriff of the
county, gives me, all told, ap
proximately 18 years in police
work, which is only two years
short of retirement.
I hope the people of Brantley
County will re-elect me and al
low me to serve long enough to
qualify for the retirement pen
sion, as it requires the full 20
years service to qualify for an
officer’s pension.
Your vote and influence will
be deeply appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
T. E. RAULERSON.
