Georgia families spend one
of their food bill for vege
tables and fruits, and at least 90
percent of the vegetables and
fruits needed can be grown on
t he farm regardless of the area
in the State, according to Cecil
Blackwell, Extension horticultur
ist.
With 1955 Irish potato produc-
tion up approximately 10 percent,
1956 prices are expected to av
erage below those for the 1954
crop.

elder daughter, Harriette Ardelia,
to S Sgt. Richard Sherley Colbert
of the U. S. Air Force and Alex
andria, Virginia.
Miss McEuen was graduated
from Nashville High School in
the class of 1952. Since gradua
tion she has completed three
years in the WAF. At present she
is in school at Soweda Tech in
Lake Charles, La.
S Sgt. Colbert is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Sherley Colbert, Alex
andria, Va. He was graduated
from high school in Washington,
D. C., in 1949 and since then he
has served one year in the U. S.
Navy and has been in the U. S.
Air Force for the past six years.
At present he is stationed at. Lake
Charles Air Force Base, La.
The wedding will take place at
the Nashville Methodist Church,
Sunday, June 3, at 2:30 p.m. A
reception will follow in Garner
Hall in the church school annex.
Relatives and friends of the
couple are invited to attend.
Breakfast should furnish one
third of the day’s nutritional
needs in order for the person to
have adequate vitality for the
day.

New Three-Fuel
System Announced
By Standard Oil
LOUISVILLE, KY. — Savings
for the American motorist are
possible through a three-grade
system of marketing gasoline, W.
G. Violette, president Standard
Oil Company (Kentucky), de
clared here recently and Stand
ard Oil will introduce such a
system on June 15.
According to Mr. Violette, au
tomobile compression ratios have
increased so much in recent
years that even existing premium
gasolines do not satisfy many of
the new cars on the road.
Therefore, Standard Oil will
market three brands of gasoline
—regular, premium- and a new,
still higher quality of motor fuel
at a third service-station pump
for the present and future auto-
mobiles with higher-compression
engines.
“Existing regular and premium
grades of gasoline are doing an
outstanding job for the great
majority of motorists, and will
continue to do so for some years
to come,” Mr. Violette said. “By
introducing a third and higher
grade of gasoline, specifically de
signed for the very high-compres-
ion cars, and at a cost coinmen-
