TO WHOM THIS MAY
CONCERN:
The Brantley County Board of
Education at its regular session
held on December 4, 1956, has
determined that the following
described property of the Bran
tley County School System to
wit: A certain wooden basketball
shell located on the grounds of
the Nahunta High School at
Nahunta, Georgia, has become un
serviceable, same being property
which can not be beneficially or
advantageously used under all
circumstances.
This then is notice, that said
property wil be offered for sale
on Wednesday, January 2, 1957,
before the court house door of
said County between the legal
hours, of sale, to the highest and
best bidder for cash. Said Board
reserves the right to reject any
bid that in its opinion is too low
The purchaser will be required
to make payment of the bid price
at the time of sale, and in addi
tion will be required to deposit
with said Board an additional
amount of 10% of the total bid
price, then and in the event the
purchaser of said building shall
remove said structure within
sixty (60) days, and shall remove
all the trash, debris and founda
tions of said structure, and leave
the grounds where said structure
now stands, clean and free of
such trash, debris, and founda
tions, then said Board will re
turn to the purchaser the sum
held as deposit, and should said
purchaser fail to clean the
grounds where said structure is
located to the satisfaction of the
Board, then the Board may em
ploy the same to be cleaned with
the sum held as deposit.
This the 10th day of December,

landscape specialist, Agricultural
Extension Service, University of
Georgia. It is especially recom
mended for schools and other
public grounds. Winter Ryegrass
can be over-seeded each fall on
Bermuda to provide green color
during the winter months.

the following described real pro

Four-Fifths (4|sths) undivided
interest in 165 acres more or less
of original land lot number 154,
in the 9th Land Dist., of former
ly Pierce, now, Brantley County,
Georgia, bounded as follows to
wit: North, by lands of Ernie
Hickox; East by lands of Rufus
Shuman; West by lands of El
bert Strickland, and South, by
lands of Union Bag and Paper
Company.
And, to re-invest the proceeds,
in Bonds of the United States.
There is no income from said
property, and it is expensive to
keep, and is subject to fire and
depredation.

217, and said plat is by reference
made this description.

or less of orginal land lot 209,
in the second land Dist. of
Brantley County, Georgia, and
being more fully described in a
plat made by D. S. Page Reg.
Surveyor, which said plat is duly
of record among the current
public records of Brantley Coun
ty, Georgia in plat book two at
page 180, and said plat is by re
ference made the description of
tract two herein.
