District of Brantley County, Ga.,
containing 740.2 acres of original
land lots 208, 209, and 240, and
being more fully and accurately
described in a certain plat made
by D. S. Page, Registered Sur
veyor, which said plat is duly
of record among the current pub
lic records of said County in Plat
Book Two at Page 217, and said
recorded plat is by reference

containing 74.7 acres of original

District Os Brantley County,

illegal transportation of alcoho
lic spirituous liquors arid distill
ed spirits on which the tax was
not paid and on which the con
tainers did not have affixed
stamps and the vehicle was not
enroute to a State Warehouse
(Brantley being a wet County)
and you the unknown owner of
vehicle sought to be condemned
or any leasee thereof are requir
ed to file your defense on or be
fore February 11, 1957, in above
stated condemnation, else the
court will grant judgment in a
bove case condemning said motor
vehicle above described and or

CONTROL OF SOIL INSECTS
Dr. C. R. Jordan, Extension en
tomologist at the College of Agri
culture, reports recent research
work has shown that the prin
cipal soil insects attacking sweet
potatoes can be controlled ef
fectively by the use of insecti
cides mixed with fertilizer. The
insecticides recommended for this
■purpose, he says, are Heptachlor
and Aldrin. The materials should
be used at the rate of two pounds
of actual insecticide per acre.
