VOTE FOR AND SUPPORT!
DEWEY HAYES IN THE I
SEPT. lOTH PRIMARY I
To The People of the Way cross Judicial Circuit:
The friends of Dewey Hayes sincerely seek your vote and support
on his behalf for re-election as Solicitor General on September 10, 1958,
based on his record and the following facts:
He is one of Georgia’s ablest and most progressive Solicitor Generals
and has always worked for the best interest of the people. He is a family
man, a Church man and has been guided by Christian principles.
Dewey Hayes is a graduate of Mercer University Law School and
has nine yrs. of full time active law practice. He is a highly successful
Solicitor General, doing a good job.
He is for Courts that are truly Halls of Justice - Pre-trial conferences
with Court Officials to save valuable court time - Fair and Impartial
trial for everyone - Continued prosecution of the guilty to the fullest ex
tent of the law - Protecting the innocent in the same manner - Honor, In
tegrity, efficiency and Justice in Courts - Continued Full-time Solicitor
General that is always on the job.
THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF THE LAWYERS, GRAND JURORS, PETIT JURORS AND WELL INFORMED CITIZENS OF THE
ates on a rather tight sche
dule which is built around
deadlines that must be met.
This statement is made to

Deadline Near
For Ordering
Tree Seedlings
Georgians were urged this
week by Forestry Commission
Guyton DeLoach not to wait until
the Sept. 15 deadline to order,
forest tree seedlings from the
Commission.
“A recent inventory of nursery
stock indicated that we will prob
ably have seedlings to fill all or
ders completely this year,” De-
Loach said.
“However, we would like to
have these orders sent in as soon
as possible so the processing bur
den won’t be overwhelming at
the last minute. A final rush
could slow the scheduling of seed
ling delivery, which must be done
between the close of the ordering
period, Sept. 15, and the begin
ning of shipping, which will
start in November,” DeLoach
continued.
A deluge of orders, combined
with weather-plauged production,
forced the Commission to cut
down orders in recent years. This
year, production is expected to
soar over 300 million trees, which
should enable the Commission to
satisfy all its customers.
Slash, loblolly, and longleaf
pines, eastern white pine, red
cedar and yellow poplar are be
ing grown in the Commission’s
six nurseries at Dawsonville,
Davisboro, Macon, Glenwood, Al
bany and Reidsville.
Order blanks ‘can be obtained
from the Commission headquar
ters at Macon, at all county for
estry units and district offices of
the Commission and at SCS and
county agents’ offices.
