The petition of E. Caroil Johns,
Bernard Pearson, Ben Jones, J.
D. Orser, and Keith Strickland
respectfully shows to the Court
the following:
1. Petitioners desire for them
selves, their associates and suc
cessors to become incorporated
under the name and style of
BRANTLEY COUNTY JUNIOR
CHAMBER, INC.
2. The Post Office addresses of
petitioners are Nahunta, Ga.
3. Petitioners desire to be char-1
tered as a private non-profit
corporation and not for pecun
iary gain as a supplementary ed
ucational organization wherein j
the young men of the commun
ity may join together in a friend
ly spirit to inculcate civic con
sciousness in its membership by
means of active participation in
constructive projects which will
improve community, state, and
nation, and to improve and de
velop its individual membership
for business advancement and
civic leadership. No monetary
profits or dividends shall ever
come to the corporation, assoc
iates or successors. The corpora
tion shall have no capital stock.
4. The principal office and
place of doing business of said
corporation shall be in Brantley
County, Georgia.
5. Petitioners desire to be in
corporated for a period of 20
years, with the privilege of re
newal at the expiration thereof.
6. Petitioners desire to be per
mitted to obtain property both
real and personal by purchase,
gift, devise or bequest; to hold,
use and enjoy the same; and to
be allowed to sell or exchange
any of the property as may be
come desirable in the. conduct

7. Petitioners desire that the
corporation shall have authority
to adopt such by-laws, constitu
tion, and rules as may be proper
for the conduct of the business
so that said organization shall
be a self-perpetuating and con
tinuous body.
WHEREFORE, PETITIONERS
PRAY: To be incorporated un
der the name and style afore
said, with all the rights, privil
eges and powers herein set forth
with such additional powers,
rights and privileges as may be
necessary, proper, or incidental
to the conduct of the business of
said Corporation consistent with
the laws of this State, the good
order, peace and dignity there
of in regard to such corporations.

plicants having been read and
considered, and it appearing to
the Court that said petition is
within the purview and inten
tion of the laws .applicable there
to, and it further appearing to
the court that all of the laws
applicable thereto have been ful
ly complied with; and it also ap
pearing by certificate of the Sec
retary of State of Georgia at
tached to said petition that the
name is not the name of any
other existing corporation;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED,
ADJUDGED. AND DECREED
that all of the prayers of said
petition are granted and appli
cants, their associates, and suc
cessors are hereby incorporated
under the name of BRANTLEY
COUNTY JUNIOR CHAMBER,
INC., a non-profit corporation
with no capital stock, for the pur
poses set out in said petition, for
a period of 20 years, with the
privilege of renewal at the ex
piration of that time in accor
dance with the laws of the State
of Georgia. Said corporation is
hereby granted and vested with
all of the rights, powers, and
privileges set forth in said peti
tion, and with all those given to
such corporations under the laws
of Georgia, and subject to the re
strictions fixed by law.

BRANTLEY COUNTY MEDICAL
CENTER, INC.

Brooker, Nahunta, Ga.; Mrs. C.
F. Dukes, Hoboken, Ga.; Pete J.
Gibson, Waynesville, Ga.; Mrs.
Woodrow Hendrix, Hickox, Ga.;

3. Petitioners desire to be
chartered as a private non-pro
fit corporation and not for pecu
niary gain, for the establishment,
maintenance, and procurement of
a clinic for the general practice
of medicine in Brantley County,
Georgia, by a qualified doctor or
doctors. No profits or dividends
shall ever come to the corpora
tions, their associates or succes
sors. The corporation shall have
no capital stock. .
4. The principal office and
place of doing business of said
corporation shall be in Brantley
County, Georgia.
5. Petitioners desire to be in
corporated for a period of twenty
years, with the privilege of re
newal at the expiration thereof.
6. Petitioners desire to be per
mitted -to obtain property both
real and personal by purchase,
gift, devise, or bequest; to hold,
use and enjoy the same; and to
be allowed to sell or exchange
any of the property as may be
come desirable in the conduct of
the business for which incorpora
tion is sought.
7. Petitioners desire that the
corporation shall have authority
to adopt such by-laws and rules

duct of the business, and that the
body so named and elected shall
be known as the Board of Trus
tees of the Corporation; that po
wer be granted to fill vacancies
on said board so that the Boapd
of Trustees shall be a self-per
petuating and continuous body.
