Historical Edition
To Appear Nov. 26
Publication date for
Edition will be November 26
A definite date was decided
upon earlier this week after tak
ing into consideration the amount
of research still to be done by
the staff and those who are con
tributing articles, etc., and the
printing time required to do the
best possible job on the edition.
Plans call for completing the
printing on Nov. 24 and for
county distribution on Nov. 25,
the day before Thanksgiving.
The staff at The Times agrees
that the 26th will be a day of
Thanksgiving, indeed, and it is
hoped that the issue will add
interest to the holidays.
Serious emotional problems
may result if parents force ma
turity on a child, warns Miss
Audry Morgan, family life spe
cialist. Agricultural Extension
Service.

FLUE-CURED TOBACCO
Tobacco grown on fumigated
soil should have a healthier and
more extensive root system
which is able to pick up a larger
quantity of nutrients from the
soil, declares J. B. Preston, agron
omist-tobacco, Agricultural Ex
tension Service. This is especial
ly true following dry seasons
where heavily-fertilized crops
did not take up the normal a
mount of nutrients and losses
through leaching were at a
minimum.
Agronomists, Agriculture Ex
tension Service, say mixtures of
early morning damp pickings of
cotton with later dry pickings
should be avoided because the
results downgrade the entire load
of seed cotton.

Ralph Williams, animal hus

fields and grazing a reserve .acre
age of frosted permanent pasture
