Patient — What’s my trouble,
Doc?
Doctor — I'm not sure exactly
what is wrong with you, but if
you were a building, you’d be
condemned.
He — When I married you I
thought you were an angel.
She — It’s quite plain you did.
You thought I could manage
without either clothes or hats.
At the dinner table one even
ing Phyllis reported proudly
that her teacher had called her
a beaver.
Mother — For being such a
hard worker, I suppose? (With
equal pride).
Phyllis — Well no, for chewing
my pencil.
She — We’ve been married a
year and never quarreled. If a
difference of opinion arises and
I’m right, my husband gives in.
Friend — And what if he’s
right?
She — That has never occur
red.
Pilot to control tower! Pilot to
control tower. I’m coming in.
Please give me landing instruc

Control tower to pilot. Control
tower to pilot! Why are you yell
ing so loud?
Pilot to control tower — I
don’t have a radio!
Farmer — Now that we’ve
struck oil you’re going to have
some decent clothes.
Wife — Nothing doing. I’ve
worn decent clothes all my life
and now I’m going to dress like
other women.
Johnie — Mama, did we all
spring from apes?
Mother — Sometimes I think
your father only hopped.
The parson was giving his first
sermon in the big church and he
celebrated the occasion by really
teeing off on the sinners. After
the service he met one of his
most outspoken parishioners.
Minister — How did you like
my sermon?
Member — Well, Reverend
after we raised all the money to
build this new church for you,
we sorta figured you’d quit yell
ing at us.
Brought before the court the
motorist declared.
Motorist — Your honor, I was
not drunk. I had only been
drinking.
Judge — Oh, is that so? Well
in that case I’m not going to
send you to jail for a month —
only for 30 days.

A mild-mannered minister ac
cepted the call to a church in a
town where many of the resi
dents bred horses, and some
times raced them. A few weeks
later he was asked to invite the
prayers of the congregation for
Lucy Gray. Willingly and gladly
he did so for three weeks. On the
fourth Sunday one of the dea
cons told him that he need not
to do it any longer.
Minister — Why? (with an
anxious look) is she dead?
Deacon — Oh, no, she won the
steeplechase yesterday.
Boss — So you want a raise
cause a number of other com
panies are after you.
Employee — Yes sir — the gas
company, the installment pur
chase company, and the insur
ance company.
Dad — Yes, son I’m a selfmade
man.
Junior — That’s what I like
about you Dad. You take the
blame for everything.
Wife — Dear, I’ve set my
heart on a Rolls Royce.
Hubby — Yes? Well that’s the
only part of your anatomy that’ll
ever set on one.
An ancient auto puffed and
wheezed up to the toll gate.
Attendant — Fifty cents.
Driver — Sold.
Reporter — During all these
years (on her golden wedding
anniversary) have you ever
thought of divorce?
Old Lady — No, only murder
In a saloon in the Wild West,
guns were blazing, and men were
running here and there when a
mild-looking man strolled in and
leaned casually against the bar.
Finally all was quiet.
The barman came up and con
gratulated the man on his per

nothing, said the man with a
smile.
I’m quite safe. You see, I owe
