sows sold up to $16.50 and feeder pigs

WHEREAS, heretofore, on the
3rd day of Sept. 1959, J. B. MID
DLETON, did execute to R. B.
BROOKER, a certain security
deed to the following described
tracts of land to wit:
All that tract or parcel of Land
lying and being in the 1493rd
Dist. G. M. of Brantley County,
Georgia, there being One Hun
dred and Sixty-three (163) acres
more or less of land in the vil
lage of Atkinson, Ga. bounded
as follows: North by Route No.
84; East by lands of Union Bag
and Paper Co.; and lands of Fred
Hill: South, South-east and
South-west by the Center line of
State Route No. 110, as is was on
Sept. 3rd, 1959 constituted.
ALSO: The following described
tract of land to wit: Fifteen (15)
acres more or less of land, in the
village of Atkinson, Brantley
County, Georgia, bounded as fol
lows: North by the right of way
of The Atlantic Coast Line RR
Co. (Old B. & W. R.R. CO) and
lands of now or formerly Knox;
East by a public Road; South by
Fed. route No. 84; and West by a
public road and lands of now or
formerly Knox. Said land locat
ed in the 1493rd Dist. G. M. of
said County, and is where the
grantor on Sept. 3rd, 1959, and
on this date actually resides, to
secure a note of even date there
with, in the principal sum of
EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS
($8,000.00), all as shown by a
security deed recorded in the of
fice of the Clerk, of Superior
Court for said County, in the
State of Georgia, in book of
Mortgages 43, at folios 169-170
and 171, to which record refer
ence is hereby made, and,
Whereas said note is in default
as to principal and interest, and,
Whereas proper notice has been
given by the undersigned more
than ten days prior to the date
hereof, that the undersigned
would claim attorney fees on the
principal and interests as pro
vided by law, and the note se
cured by said deed to secure debt
of Ten per cent. (10%)
NOW, THEREFORE, according
to the original terms of said
security deed and the laws in
such cases made and provided,
the undersigned will expose for
sale, to the highest and best bid
der for cash, the above described
land, after proper advertisement,
on the First Tuesday in Oct.
1961, between the legal hours of
sale, before the Northern Court
house Door, of Brantley County,
Georgia in Nahunta. The pro
ceeds of said sale will be used
first to the payment of said note,
principal, interest, attorney fees
and expenses, and the balance, if
any, delivered to the said J. B.
Middleton.

of David Tillman Rowell, de-
ceased:
You are hereby required to
show cause before the Court of
Ordinary to be held at the Court
house in said County on the First
Monday on October, next, why
the petition of R. T. Rowell, an
heir at law of the said David
Tillman Rowell, setting out that
the said David Tillman Rowel)
died intestate a resident of
Brantley County, Georgia, and
that the said estate owes no
debts other than as set out in the
petition, and that the heirs at
law of the said deceased have
agreed upon a division of the
said estate, and praying for an
order finding that no administra
tion upon the said estate is neces
sary, should not be granted and
order entered.

Mrs. Macie Shuman DeFoe, sur
viving wife of Floyd Shuman,
late of said county, deceased, has
made application to encumber
the real property which was set
aside as a year’s support for the
benefit of said former wife and
William Silas Shuman, James
Bryant Shuman, Pollie Vilee Shu
man, Mary Millissa Shuman, Brit
ton Tolly Shuman, R. L. Shuman,
being a minor, by the Court of
Ordinary of said County as re
corded in Year’s Support Book 2,
page 128, the purpose of said en
cumberance being to make im
provements and repairs to said
property, pay pending obligations,
maintenance and support.
Said application will be heard j
before the Ordinary of said coun- i
ty at the Courthouse in said
County at 10:00 A. M. on the 3rd
day of October, 1961, at which
time objections, if any, to the
granting of said application will
be heard.
