“But I don’t want to buy
a lot of wiring—
I just want an Electric Dryer!”
Depend on a woman to get to the heart of
the matter. Almost everybody had rather
own a sleek, new electric servant (or two or
three) than “a lot of wiring.” Unfortunately
many houses, new and old, are electrically
inadequate for modern appliances and flame
less electric heating systems.
To help solve the problem, the Georgia
Power Company has set up a program where
by we can pay SSO to S2OO toward wiring
the homes of qualified customers. This plan
leaves more of your funds free to purchase
electric appliances or heating units you want.
Check with your electrical contractor or
appliance dealer or at our local office to learn
how you can participate in our company’s
wiring program. You’ll cherish the day that
you decide to go all-electric. So why not make
it sooner instead of later!

’COKER CORNS ARE PRICED ABOUT
THE SAME AS OTHERS, YET MY DEALER
SAYS COKER'S IS 'CHEAPER.' WHY?"
He’s referring to the extra acreage you can plant
from a bushel of Coker’s seed com, compared to
other leading varieties, planted at the same rate. This
reduces your per-acre seed costs, and is another ad
vantage of planting Coker Hybrids. There is no dif
ference in germination, vigor, or yielding ability
between grades of the same variety. Some farmers
prefer large “pretty” seed, so they buy our large flats;
others want to save money, and order Coker medium
flats. Planted side by side, you couldn’t tell them apartl
At recommended planting rates, a bushel of Coker
large flats will plant approximately 8 acres; Coker
medium flats, over 9 acres. Be sure to use the correct
planter plate for the seed size you buy!
Application for the free li
censes must be made to the Geor
gia State Patrol in the same
manner as that for regular
drivers’ licenses, and the same
driving tests must be passed.
In applying for a free license,
the widow should take with her
a copy of the veteran’s discharge
and proof that she is the unre
married widow of the veteran.
It takes one acre of healthy
forest 20 years to grow the lum
ber for a five-room frame house,
according to Extension foresters.
