THE OLDI
ADAGE *
V. . L - • fV ’
MF
An old adage, indeed, that “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”
The “kids” on the farm are models of youthful efficiency. But they go a- <
fishin’ whenever they can.
The business men, the housewives, the schoolchildren — they need their
fishin’ too!
But there is another way in which the old adage is true: ALL WORKING
and no PRAYING leaves man a dull soul!
The God who created us never intended us to be able to get along without
Him.
Our hands may sow seed, but they can’t make it grow. Our minds may
work out problems, but they can’t solve the world’s chaos. All of our efficiency
hasn’t brought us lasting happiness or firm hope.
But when we turn to our Christian faith, and seek its power through regu
lar worship in our Churches — then we find the things we need and want most!

THE CHURCH FOR ALL . . .
ALL FOR THE CHURCH
The Church is the greatest factor on
earth for the building of character and
good citizenship. It is a storehouse of
spiritual values. Without a stroni.
Church, neither democracy nor civili
zation can survive. There are four
sound reasons why every person shou 1 * 4
attend services regularly and suppor’
the Church. They are: (I) For hw
own sake. (2) For his children’s sake.
(3) For the sake of his communit»
and nation. (4) For the sake of th
Church itself, which needs his mor»‘
and material support. Plan to go •-
church regularly and read your Bibb
daily.
