All-New 1965 Ramblers Unveiled
The Rambler Ambassador is the longest and most
luxurious of three distinctively different lines of
American Motors cars for 1965. Over-all length
has been increased 10 inches on models other
than station wagons, and a convertible has been
added to the Ambassador line for the first time.

1965 Rambler Cars to Be Shown
At Nahunta Wednesday, Sept. 23
DETROIT, Sept. 12 — Ameri
can Motors announced three dis
tinctively different lines of 1965
Rambler cars with the widest se
lection of models and perform
ance choices ever offered by the
company.
The new Rambler cars go on
display in Nahunta next Thursday.
Each of the three lines — Am
bassador, Classic and American
—is on a separate wheelbase and
each has its own strong “curb
stone” identity.
“With new powerplant choices
and the addition of convertible
models to the Ambassador and
Classic lines, we will have the
broadest model lineup in the his
tory of American Motors,” Thom
as A. Coupe, vice president —
automotive sales, said, “and, for
the first time, each line will of
fer a full range of body styles.”
In summary, there are 29 mo
dels and seven engines offered
; n the three Rambler lines for
1965. They include —
American — 10 models, includ
ing two and four-door sedans,
four-door station wagons, conver
tibles and two-door hardtops. En
gines include six-cylinder 90-horse
power L-head, 125-horsepower o
verhead valve and 155-horsepow
er Torque Command.
Classic — 11 models, including
two and four-door sedans, four
door station wagons, convertibles
and two-door hardtops. Engines
include six-cylinder 128-horsepow
sr, 145-horsepower and 155-horse
power Torque Command, 198
lorsepower V-3 and 270-horsepow
ar V-8.
Ambassador — 8 models, in
cluding two and four-door sedans,
"our-door station wagons, conver
tibles and two-door hardtops. En
gines include six-cylinder 155-
horsepower Torque Command, 198-
horsepower V-8 and 270-horsepo
wer V-8.
The ’65 Ambassador, longer and
more luxurious, features all new
exterior and interior styling. The
wheelbase has been increased
four inches th 116 inches. The
top volume Classic, which retains
a 112 inch wheelbase, also is all
new in appearance.
Styling of the American, which
recorded a sales gain of more
han 40 per cent during the past
model year after undergoing a
complete body change, has been
tastefully refined. Tye American
In Georgia... r
after a swim, beer is a natural
On a hot summer day, a dip in a cool stream can be wonderfully
refreshing. Equally refreshing when you’re relaxing afterwards
with friends is a hearty’ glass of beer. There’s hardly another bev
erage around that suits what you do for fun as much as beer.
Camping, hiking, or just lounging on a lawn chair—beer brings to
each just the right touch of extra good living.
Your familiar glass of beer is also a pleasurable reminder that
we live in a land of personal freedom—and that our right to enjoy
beer and ale, if we so desire, is just one, but an important one, of
those personal freedoms.

Knowledge+Experience
= Sound Regulation
Os Public Utilities
RE-ELECT
ALLEN CHAPPELL
Here’s proof — not empty political promises — that I
have the knowledge and experience needed to represent
your interests best in regulating public utilities in
Georgia:
1. Still vigorously healthy in mind and body, I have been a
member of the Public Service Commission for 23 years.
2. I have been elected Vice-Chairman of the 5-man Commission
by my own colleagues every year since 1932.
3. Rotes for electricity, natural gas, telephone service, truck and
bus transportation are lower in Georgia than in surrounding
states.
4. The present Commission has spearheaded the drive for rail
freight rate equality in the South.
5. Utilities ond transportation companies have grown and ex
panded services tremendously throughout the State during
my tenure.
6. The present Commission has won national recognition for
fairness and efficiency.
I have been a member of both the Georgia Senate and
House of Representatives, a former and businessman, a Ma
son and a Shriner, and member of the Elks.
You need to keep my experience and integrity on the
Georgia Public Service Commission. I need — and will
appreciate — your vote for re-election in the run-off on
September 23rd.
Respectfully,
Allen Chappell
space.”
In addition to the wider selec
f n of models, the 1965 Ramblers
offer a broader choice of engines
— including . a high-performance,
seven-main bearing “Torque Com
mand” six-cylinder engine in all
three lines.
“The Torque Command engine
provides exceptional performance
and response in all driving ran
ges,” Coupe said. “It rivals many
larger V-8s in performance and
smoothness while retaining the
basic operating economy of the
sixes.”
Sanitation, says Extension Ser
vice Entomologist Rodney Cole
man, is the first step in eliminat
ing roach infestations in the
home.
