But... just suppose that a lot of us take the bulk
of our trade... our large purchases, and our
everyday buying... to cities and towns 50 or 100
or more miles away... and buy at home only
when we haven’t time to wait until we can go
somewhere else to get it. Then, with their trade
volume lower, could we expect local business to
be able and ready to serve us in emergencies?
Or, some day, if we need medicine, or a spark
plug, or other vital item,. .will we have to make
a long trip to some distant city to get it?
