EXIT HIGHWAYS
WITH CAUTION
Don’t let your departure from a
highway become your final exit.
Go easy on those freeway exits

Association urges. To aid you in
leaving a highway safely, the As

NO BIG HURRY
The gardner should be in no big
hurry to plant caladium bulbs.
Gerald E. Smith, Extension Ser
vice horticulturist, points out that
caladiums are native to the tro
pics, and consequently have a
high temperature requirement.
Starting them in cool soil usually
results in poor growth or rotting
of the tubers. Bulbs start best at
a 70 to 80 degree temperature.
