A flameless electric heat pump lets you step
into the climate of eternal spring
Turn your back on the raw, rasping blasts of
winter and the humid wilt of summer. With
just one setting of the thermostat, a heat
pump captures the perfect moment of climate
you want and holds it year 'round.
You see, a heat pump heats and cools. It
changes automatically as the weather outside
changes. Needs only electricity and air to
operate. And the air delivered by your flamn
less electric heat pump is dehumidified and
filtered, crisp and really clean.
Economical, too. The heat pump has won
fame for its efficiency. Then, there’s a special
low rate for total-electric customers. And
budget billing keeps your electric bill the Mme
amount every month.
Isn’t this the comfort-conditioning system
you want? Well, then. Put your foot down.

Community leaders in Georgia along the lines of Southern Railway System know that Southern is a
willing and effective partner in their efforts to attract new, job-providing industries.
During the past 25 years, this partnership has resulted in 1,616 industrial projects in Georgia, creating.
some 105,000 additional jobs for Georgians. This industrial growth along the lines of Southern Rail
way System in Georgia represented an investment by businessmen of one billion nine hundred and
forty million dollars.
Last year alone, this partnership meant 84 new industrial projects for Georgia, some 6,200 more jobs
for Georgians, and a $212 million investment by businessmen. A record like this doesn’t just happen.
Our Industrial Development work is centered in Atlanta and is so important
to us that it is managed directly by a vice president of Southern.
We’ve spent millions of dollars in Georgia to buy thousands of acres of land
for potential industrial use, so that good land will be available at fair prices
when it is needed.
For 25 years, we’ve run a continuous advertising campaign, costing many
millions of dollars, inviting the nation’s businessmen, industrialists and
financiers to “Look Ahead-Look South” for greater opportunities for
industrial growth. You’ve probably seen some of this advertising.
Wherever our lines go, we help communities grow. Georgia and Georgians benefit-and so does

WHERE TO MAIL

Atlanta — Do you have a
refund due on your 1966 Fed
eral income tax return? By
mailing it to the correct ad

This announcement was
made by A. C. Ross, District
Director of Internal Revenue
for Georgia.
Georgia taxpayers should
mail returns showing refunds
directly to the Southeast Ser

gia, 30006.
A preaddressed envelope for
this purpose is included with
your tax form package. If it
was mislaid or lost, a new
envelope may be obtained
from your nearest IRS office.

Nobody loves a litter bug
but everybody lover a flower

SHELLING PECANS
Do you need your pecans
shelled as unbroken halves?
Miss Nelle Thrash, Extension
Service home economist, has
a suggestion. Dampen the pe
cans overnight in a wet towel.
Next day, crack the nuts by
applying pressure end to end,
rather than side to side. Now
you are ready to remove the
pecan meat from the shell —
in two halves.
