COST OF EGG STAINS
Egg producers often ask
what can l be done to remove
stains from eggs. Georgia Co
operative Extension Service
Poultry Scientist Jerry Cox
says the most pratical answer
to this question is prevention
rather than trying to remove
the stains once they occur on
the eggs.
PLANTING DOGWOOD
When planting dogwood
seedlings, the secret to good
survival is to keep the roots
moist at all times, according
to Extension Service horticul

isn't it about time
you came in
from the cold?
It can be awfully nippy out there without the proper cover
ing. Sure, you’re wrapped up in a heavy bundle of worldly
comforts already. But synthetic fibers can’t warm the soul.
Chances are, you could put more spiritual fiber in your
weave: stronger threads of Christian faith and human
understanding. Let the warmth of your Methodist Church
help provide the total and lasting inner-security you need.
You’ll find that today's Methodism relates the living Christ
to your personal problems, needs, and goals. And it puts
the love of God in realistic context with your daily living.

SAFETY-CONSCIOUS
Pedestrians must look out
for themselves in crossing
streets. Their very lives de
pend on it.
It’s a grim fact that 8,800
pedestrians were killed in 1965
in the United States, accord
ing to the National Safety-
Council. And, more than half
of these fatalities occurred at
night.
So, pedestrians can’t be too
careful. Pedestrians — like
motorists — have rights, but
Safety dictates that these
rights be exercised with care.
Don’t push your pedestrian
rights, the American Insurance
Association advises. Cross only
at corners, and then with cau
tion, especially at dusk when
visibility is poor.
