Teacher Shortage Aspects Studied In Color Film Civic and social clubs are advised that the color film “Ode to Tomorrow” now is available without charge for meeting showings. The documentary discovers why many young adults who are trained to become teach ers enter the profession brief ly, then leave it. The motion picture notes that most of those who change professions accept less challenging roles. Many aspects of the teacher shortage are explored during the 16-mm feature, including the military’s demand upon young men, “moonlighting,” early marriage, and the drain on the profession by industry.
