STERILIZED SHEARS
Unless you take proper pre
cautions when pruning fruit
trees, vines and some schrubs,
you may transmit disease to
healthy plants, reports C. D.
Spivey, Cooperative Extension
Service horticulturist. Pruning
shears which are not clean
may do just this and they
should be sterilized to pre
vent disease spreading.
