of the estate of Minnie Rogers
Courson, late of Dougherty
County, Georgia, will offer for

the Courthouse of said County,
on the first Tuesday in May,

1. A tract of land described
in a deed from James W.
Courson, as administrator of
the estate of J. L. Courson, de
ceased, to C. M. Courson dated
November 10, 1927, and re
corded in the public records
of Brantley County, Georgia,

follows: The lot or parcel of
land lying and being in Brant
ley County, and being that
tract or parcel of land, the
same being a portion of lot of
land number 230 in the 2nd
Land District of formerly
Wayne, now Brantley County,
Georgia, and being all of said
lot not previously sold by W.
F. Raybon, Martha F. Raybon
and Daisy Raybon; the land
herein described being in the
Southeast corner of lot of land
number 230, in the 2nd Land
District of said County of
Brantley and extending from
the division line between lot
number 230 and 231 north to
the division line between said
lot number 230 and 229 and
lying on the East side of said
lot number 230, and containing
100 acres, more or less, and
bounded as follows: on the
north by lands of W. R. Rog
ers; on the east by lands of
B. F. Jones and by lands of
J. L. Courson; on the south

W. J. Broadhurst and public
road. Being the same land and
premises known as the Ray
bon Old Place and whereon

Courson dated February 7,
1956, and recorded in the pub
lic records of Brantley Coun
ty, Georgia, in Deed Book 18,
page 104, as follows: That cer
tain tract or parcel of land
lying and being in the 2nd
Land District of Brantley
County, Georgia, there being
twelve and three-tenths (12.3)
acres, more or less, and de
scribed by a certain plat made
by David S. Page, Registered
Surveyor, Georgia, No. 793,
which plat was made August
14, 1954, and becomes a part
of this deed for all purposes,
and bounded as follows, to
wit: north by lands of Bruns
wick Pulp & Paper Company,
east by lands of Brunswick
Pulp & Paper Company, and
comes to a point in the south
and west by lands of C. M.
Courson.

of the estate of J. L. Courson;
on the east by branch or by

of J. L. Courson. The above

land being the old home place
of the late J. L. Courson, de

The petition of R. E. Winge,
Ellis B. McNeal, and Clarence
’ D. Blount, the post office ad

Waycross, Georgia, respectful
ly shows to the Court:
1. Petitioners desire for
themselves and their succes
' sors to be incorporated and
.made a body politic under the
laws of the State o f
Georgia under the name
and style of “LONG
LAKE FISHING CLUB OF
WAYCROSS, INC.”, for a per
iod of thirty-five (35) years,
with the full right of renewal,
as may be provided by law,
with its principal office at
such place in Brantley Coun
ty, Georgia, as the Board of
Directors may from time to
time determine.
2. The corporation will not
be organized nor operated for
pecuniary gain or profit, and
it shall have no capital stock.
3. The object and purposes
of the corporation shall be to
provide outdoor recreational
facilities for its .members;
the promotion of good fellow
ship among the members of
the Club and their families;
the development and mainte
nance among the members of
the club and others of respect
for the game and fish laws of
the State of Georgia; the re
stocking of the Satilla River
with fish and the promotion
generally of the sport of fish
ing and family recreation.
4. No part of the property
of the corporation nor any re
ceipts of money that may
come into its hands shall ever
at any time inure to the bene
fit of any private individual,
firm or corporation, but the
corporation shall have the
power to employ and pay for
the services of all necessary
clerical or other personnel to
carry out the aims of the cor
poration.
5. Petitioners desire the
right for the corporation to
own, lease, manage and con
trol real estate as well as the
power and authority to accept
gifts and contributions in any
form that may be made for
the purpose of promoting the
object of the corporation, and
all such gifts and contribu
tions so made shall be devoted
to and used for in all respects
administered to achieve the
object of the corporation, as
herein set out.
6. The governing body of
the corporation shall consist
of the Board of Directors. The
Incorporators herein shall be
the first members of the
Board of Directors. Said
Board shall consist of a num
ber of persons to be fixed by
the Board of Directors in the
adoption of by-laws, who shall
provide for the filling of va
cancies on the Board, the
terms of office of the Board
members and the manner of
selection thereof.
7. The Board of Directors
shall have the power to adopt
all rules, by-laws and regula
tions for the government of
the corporation consistent
with this charter and applica
ble laws of the State.
8. Petitioners desire for the
corporation the power and au
thority to borrow money and
pledge the revenues received
by it for the payment thereof
as the Board of Directors in
their discretion may see fit
to do, and to perform any oth
er act or thing that may be
needful, necessary or suitable
for effecting and carrying
out the purposes of the corpo
ration consistent with the law
and charter powers.
9. The officers of the corpo
ration shall consist of a pres
ident, vice-president, secre
tary and a treasurer, who shall
be elected annually in the
manner fixed by the by-laws
of the corporation.
10. Petitioners have obtain
ed from the Secretary of State
of the State of Georgia the
necessary certificate entitling
them to make this application,
and such certificate is attach
ed hereto.
WHEREFORE, Petitioners
pray that they be incorporated
under the name and style
,aforesaid with all the rights,
powers, privileges and immun
ities, above set forth, together
with all such rights, powers,
privileges and immunities as
are had or may hereafter be
conferred upon non-profit
corporations under the laws
of Georgia.

To Vie for Mrs. Georgia Title
Outstanding homemakers
from seven Georgia cities have
been selected to represent
their area in the annual Mrs.
Georgia Contest in Atlanta
May 8 to 11.
Contests were held between
March 27 and April 5 in Ath
ens, Atlanta, Augusta, Macon,
Rome, Savannah and Bruns
wick (Mrs. Golden Isles) to
name an outstanding mother
wife-citizem as local titlist.
These ladies were named as
winners:
Mrs. Athens — Mrs. Norma
Brannon.
Mrs. Atlanta — Mrs. Nancy
Hodges.
Mrs. Augusta — Mrs. Dottie
Morgan.
Mrs. Macon — Mrs. Nell
Jackson.
Mrs. Rome — Mrs. Irene
Duffey.
Mrs. Savannah — Mrs. Bar
bara Good.
Mrs. Golden Isles — Mrs.
Diane Hyers.
Each of these ladies won
her title in a carefully-judged
contest. The same criteria used
in judging all local contests
will be used at the Mrs. Geor
gia Contest. They are (1)
homemaking abilities, (2)
poise, personality and groom
ing and (3) church and com
munity participation.
In Atlanta the finalists will
appear before a panel of five
judges for interviews and then
will be allowed to demonstrate
their homemaking abilities.
They will prepare a table set
