Do NO! try to raise or lower the antenna by yourself. Do NOT run or anchor guy wires near electric wires. If the antenna starts to fall into electric wires, turn it loose before contact is made. Do NOT attempt to remove it. But the best rule is: Do NOT put up a television antenna yourself. Call a quali fied television serviceman. You’ll find his telephone number in the yellow pages. He has the equipment and experience to put up an antenna safely. And that’s how to put up a TV antenna. In the Garden of Eden, Adam was told that there were cer tain conservation laws to fol low. “Eat this! Leave that!” But, as we all well know, greed entered into the pic ture and, as a result, man kind has been cursed with thorns and thistles and having to earn his living by the sweat of his brow. History, since that time, has repeated itself time after time. A civilization rises up, becomes a world power, yet disappears under the sands of time as greed and wanton destruction lay waste to the land. Where there is no vision, the people perish. Where there is no conservation, no thought for perpetuation of the natur al resources for the coming generation, there is no future for that people. There is no escaping the responsibility of conservation. Mankind was given, “domin ion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth’’ (Genesis 1:28). This means everybody — every individ ual. Dominion entails wise man agement. Indifference, greed, desecration, the extinction of a species — none of these have any place in an accept able management program. All of us must conserve and preserve. We must plant, transplant and harvest, re membering that the gleanings belong to the poor and the stronger. And above all, we must remember that the future depends upon our conserva tion of today. C. — Con gressman W. S. (Bill) Stuc key, Jr., announced today that a grant of $85,600 has been ap proved to study the industrial potential of the naval gum stores industry in 65 of the U nited States counties.
