1 Chairman of the County
Commission, subject to the
rules and regulations of the
Democratic Primary Sept. 11,
1968.
I have had the honor to
serve on the board of com
missioners from the Nahunta
District for several years, al
though I always felt it my
duty to serve the whole coun
ty-
I have worked with the
State Highway officials to
get 'as .many miles of paved
roads as possible. Since I
have been commissioner we
have obtained approximately
73 miles of rural paved roads
and several miles of streets
paved in Hoboken and Na
hunta. Working with the
County Board of Education
we obtained a county contract
in the amount of $35,675.34
through the State Highway
Department for drive-ways
and parking area at our new
Brantley County High School.
If elected I pledge to carry
out the duties of a county
commissioner in a business
like and impartial manner and
will continue to work with
the State Highway Depart
ment officials to improve our
roads.
