Nahunta Methodist Revival
Begins Monday Nov. 10th
Services will be held each night at 7:30
through Friday, Nov. 14. Song evangelist
and soloist will be Rev. Ray Vaughn of De
catur. He is a full time song evangelist and
soloist.
Rev. Mr. Vaughn was in the entertainment
world as a singer, pianist and organist for
25 years, working with many outstanding
entertainers, including Don McNeil, Garry
Moore, Tommy Bartlett and George Jessell.
Pastor Robert S. Round will be the revival
preacher. He and his congregation invite
everyone in the community to attend the
services.

Mrs. Gussie Moody Haire, 71,
widow of the late William Ed
Haire, former residents of
Route 2, Baxley, passed away
early Saturday in a middle
Georgia hospital following a
long illness.
A native of Appling County,
she was a daughter of the late
Bart Moody and Sarah Light
sev Moody. She was a .member
of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Survivors are two daughters.
Mrs. Myrtice Kisselberg and
Mrs. Aldean Santucci, both of
North Miami. Fla ; a son, E.
D. Haire of Canton: three sis
ters, Mrs. Mary Smith of Of
ferman, Mrs. Macie Harrison
of Alma and Mrs. Effie Wil
liams of Tampa. There are four
grandchildren. and three
great-grandchildren and a
number of nieces, nephews and

Funeral services were held
Tuesday afternoon at the
Memorial Free Will Baptist
Church in Appling Countv at
3:30 o’clock, with Rev. Cecil F.
Thomas officiating. Interment
was in the church cemetery.

ties was the speaker at the Blackshear Exchange Club meet
ing last Friday at the Oak-Plaza Restaurant. The , Alma
legislator spake on problems and prospects facing th.e 1970
session of the General Assembly. The speaker was intro
duced by Francis Houston. Allen Dixon, Jr., is president of
the Exchange Club.

litanies, prayers, and hymns
from the early Christian
church as well as those of to
