To Waycross
Bennie F. David, manager
of the Georgia Power Compa
ny’s Jesup office, has been
named assistant to Rodney E.
Moore, the utility’s Waycross
district manager.
A native of Fargo, Fla., Mr.
David was graduated from
Jasper, Fla., High School. He
has completed supervisory and
management training at the
University of Georgia.
The newly promoted em
ploye joined the Florida Pow
er Corp, in 1932 and served
as groundman and line fore
man before becoming general
line foreman of Georgia Pow
er & Light Co. in 1951. Wh^n
the Georgia Power Light
Co. properties were acquired
by Georgia Power Company
in 1957. Mr. David was named
Blackshear local manager. He
was transferred to Jesup in
1964.
Mr. David has served as
vice president of the Jesup
Shrine Club, president of the
Jesup Rotary Club, vice presi
dent of the Jesun-Wayne
Countv Chamber of Commer
ce and a director of the
Slash Pine Area Planning and
Development Commission.
! He is married to the former
Lois Mountain of Inverness.
