Brantley ahead 6-0.. Later in
the half, Able dashed nine
yards for a tally and Quarter
back Larry Johnson passed to
Raiford Blue for a two-point
conversion to give the Herons
a 14-0 halftime lead.
Rain marred play in the sec
ond half but Brantley scored
twice. Johnson pitched to
Benji Walker on a 40-yard
scoring play in the last half
and reserve Quarterback Paul
Langford passed to Blue on a
25-yard TD play.
Pacing the Brantley defense
were Clayton Edgy, Benji
Walker, Gerald Drawdy, Tho
mas Herrin, Archie White and
Marshall Edgy.
Larry Lane was offensive
workhorse for the Herons.
Ray Peterson and Ronnie
Floyd were top defensive per
formers for Atkinson.
Brantley opens its home sea
son this week against Black
shear.
