In Memoriam
In memory of Onimus M.
Griffin, who passed away on
April 19, 1969.
It was on Sat. morning, we
just got out of bed when I
heard the phone ring and they
were telling me my dear old
daddy was dead. He was so
good and kind, and loved us
all we know. But then came
that Sat. Morning our Lord
called him to go. We cannot
understand why God called
you home and left your loved
one here all alone to weep
and mourn full of grief and
heartaches. But God above
knows best about all things
we can’t understand at the
time being, why he took you,
but then we can look back
and see why, as there is al
ways a reason. He knew you
were sick, tired and depressed
and didn’t want to be a bur
den on your children. But then
one day, God knew he had
done all he could do for you
on this earth and that you
were waiting and ready to go,
so he took you home to be
with him in that sweet home.
Daddy, we know you are
resting in your heavenly home
where no sickness, pain or
grief ever enters there. No
one knows the silent heart
ache, only those who have lost
can tell of the grief that born
in silence for the one we loved
so well,, so sleep on dear Dad
and take your rest. We miss
you most, who loved you best.
God took you home, it was his
will, but in our heart we love
you still.
