IN MEMORIAMS
In memory of my Dear old
Daddy, Onimus M. Griffin, who
was called home on April 19,
1969.
His Memory was fresh as dew,
if we could only say, Oh, Dad
dy we hope to follow you.
When we were children he
taught us then, be kind to
the old and good to friends
and to love thy neighbors and
remember the golden rule.
Daddy, we won’t ever forget
you, we think of you everyday
and love you more as time
slips away.
Daddy, we just love that good
old rocking chair you left your
loving smile and gentle face
no one can fill your vacant
place. To have loved you and
this is the greatest sorrow
of one heart.
The years may wipe out many
things, but this they wipe our
never. The memories of those
happy days when we were
all together just a cluster of
beautiful memories sprayed
with millions of tears. Wish
you could have spared just
a few more years.
Sadly missed,
By your daughter

title, not Miss Tammy Clark.
We wish to express our gr
atitude to our many friends
who were so kind and though
ful during the long illness and
death of our loved one, Mrs.
Hattie Jacobs.
She was always so grateful
when she received cards and
would say “When will I ever
be able to thank them all?’’
She would always say “There
is nothing to take the place of
good friends and neighbors.’’
Altho we are sadden by the
loss, she leaves behind many
precious memories. Again we
say thanks to each of you, esp
eclally for the food, flowers,
visits, phone calls, and espec
ially for your prayers. May
God Bless each of you.

PASTOR'S PEN
The church across the world is God's
church. Does God expect anything from His
church? Does He have the right to expect
anything? The answer is yes, He does have
the right and He does expect something. The
church is composed of God's redeemed pe
ople. The Lord Jesus Christ instituted the
church and set it in motion. He, therefor^,
expects the church to please Himby accom
plishing it's God given mission. This is not
only true for the world church, it is also
true for the local church. The mission of
the local church is also the mission of each
of its members. God expects great things to
happen in his church and because of His
church.
The church is a light set on a hill. It is a
light that shines into the world through the
lives of its members. God expects the me
mbers of the church to let the world see
Christ through them. "And I, if Ibe lifted
up, will draw all men unto me. " (John 12;
32). Lift Him up on your hearts. Lift Him
upon your lips. Lift Him up before the wo
rld. Let others see Jesus in you. He expects
the members to build the church. This is a
rather difficult task for some who never
come, and suffice it to say, you can't build
anything personally in absentia. "Let not
your good be spoken evil of" (Romans 14; 16)
Consider your discipleship and your relat
ionship to God and to your brother. "By this
shall all men know that ye are my disciple,
if ye love one another. "
God expects His church to grow. Os course
He expects the church to grow numerically,
but He also expects it to grow spiritually.
He spent three years teaching His disciples
that they might grow. Paul, the apostle,
after he was converted, spent three years
in Arabia preparing himself for the ministry
of the gospel. A growing Christian knows
and loves God; has a sense of the father
hood of God, and is obedient to Him as a.son;
has a working knowlege of the Bible, and
wants to know more; supports the church
with his consistant presence and taiants; has
fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and his daily
life is changed. These are some of the
things God expects to see in your life.
