Field agronomists, seed and
fertilizer dealers, and chemical
company representatives will
be in a better position to
answer that question after
attending a diagnostic work
shop here Tuesday, June 20.
“These people are fre
quently called on by farmers to
evaluate problem fields, and
their ability to evaluate
properly may mean the
difference between success and
failure,” said J. Benton Jones
Jr., agronomist with the
U niversity of Georgia Ex
tension Service.
Extension, along with the
Plant Food Educational
Society, is sponsoring the
workshop to help these farm
suppliers and service men
pinpoint particular nutrient,
soil and pest problems
associated with corn.
Registration will begin at
8:45 a.m. at the Rural
