A CANDIDATES ODE
Now our Sheriffs job is a curious one,
He's never around when anythings done.
Calls come at night, calls come by day,
But our Sheriff is usually miles away.
"Hurry right out" says the voice on the phone,
But the Sheriff turnes over and goes back to sleep with a groan.
He didn't catch them all, in fact very few
It really don't matter if they do or don't leave a clue.
Sometimes they plead guilty and the old judge will smile
And then he'll let them go work for the Sheriff awhile.
Now you folks might like all this mess,
And if you do theres nothing I can do I guess,
But if you don't
Don't waste time sheddin tears

Here we sit in a branchy row,
Thinking of beautiful things we know.
Dreaming of deeds that we mean to do,
All complete, in a minute or two
- noble and wise and good,
Done by merely wishing we c0u1d....
By the rubbish in our wake,
and the noble noise we make,
Be sure, be sure, we’re going
to do some splendid things!

Tips on Stretching
Vacation Budgets
If you’re thinking of a trip
abroad this year, travel ex
perts suggest several tips to
stretch your vacation budget.
Most European countries
will have higher prices this
year, including Britain, West
Germany, Switzerland,
France, Italy and Russia. The
dollar will go farthest in
Spain, Portugal, Greece,
Austria and Yugoslavia.
Costs are up sharply in
Japan, and most of the Far
East.
