P F C Ronnie Jacobs of Hoboken is a Battalion Mechanic.
He performs maintenance on the wheel vehicles. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Olan Jacobs and joined the National
Guard in July, 1971. He is employed by the SC L railroad
as a Signalman.

Sgt. Donny Griner of Nahunta is a Wire Team Chief of
Headquarters Battery. He is responsible for laying wire lines
for telephone communications. Donny is employed as Sani
tation Inspector for the Bacon County Health Department.
Specialist Corbit Wilson of Nahunta is assigned to the Fire
Direction Center of Headquarters Battery. Corbit said. “ I
usually drive the ‘ Old Man ’ ( Battalion Commander Cheek)
around and usually advise him on what to do.”
Specialists 4th Class Dale Middleton of Atkinson has been
in the Guard for 4 years. He is a heavy truck driver in the
communications section of Service Battery. Dale is employed
with Universal Enterprise and works with heavy equipment.
“ I have gotten a lot of good experience in the National Guard
and recommend it to other young men from Brantley County.

Specialist 4th Class Stanley Drury is assigned to Battery
A as assistant Gunner. Stanley is from the Waynesville area
and is employed by S C L and works in the shops in Waycross.
Stanley said, “ this is the hardest Summer Camp yet. We
have been firing a lot more this time.”
