the area.

PARTS AREA
Brick tiling enhances the
floor of the large parts of
fice area where customers are
given convenient and quick
service.
Paneled walls are set off
by green formica which covers
the counter tops. More glass
windows and doors allow a
clear view of the outside and
the adjoining Service Depart
ment.
The most modern equipment
available is found in the large
Service Department which is
seen to the left of the build
ing’s front.
Featuring four floor air
lifts, this department has 16
individual working stalls for
mechanics in its 6,000 square
feet.
This area is gas heated
and features all steel con
struction, fully insulated. The
latest diagonistic equipment
can be found here according
to Winnie Walker, head of the
Service Department.
A unique feature of the high
ceiling are fiberglass sun win
dows which allow sunshine to
come through. Hanging fluo
rescent limits add more to the
spaciousness of the room.

from both back and front ends
and the floors are a concrete
type-
Mr. Walker has his own
office at one side of the room
and another long space is given
for tool storage. Another stor
age room for tools is being
built outside.
BODY SHOP
One of the special features
of the Body and Paint Shop
which is in a separate build
ing inback, is the completely
sealed - off paint room.
The sealing off of this room
was done to meet all standard
safety measures set by the
Federal Government. In case
of fire, this particular area
would only be harmed.
This body shop, measuring
1,500 square feet, has four
overhead doors designed like
the Service Department and
has shelves for various cans
of paints.
Salesmen are 'friendly'
The Sales Department at
Waters Ford Company has a
reputation of being, “the
friendly sales people.”
Each of the four salesman
could say, “Don’t just dream,
but come in and test-drive
one ofthe new cars or trucks.”

Commenting that the Ford
division sales are among
leaders in the world, Mr.
Waters Jr. says, “The com
pany is open Monday through
Friday from 8 a.m. until 6
p.m. and on Saturdays from
8 a. m. until 12 noon. “Low
prices and quality” are of
fered here, he added.

trucks, customers have a wide

can be made through several
well-known financial institu
tions.
Safety features are seen on
this year’s 1973 models which
were required by federal law
including the new type bump-
er. There are a wide variety
of options offered in cars and
trucks.
Customers have their
choice of six models of Ford
cars: LTD, a series of
Torinos, Mavericks, Mus
tangs, Pintos and Thunder
birds.
Trucks come in: the number
one Ford F-100 pick-up;
Courier, a foreign small
truck; the Ranchero and others
all sizes and series.
