Wednesday Mr. Sturgiss the
kind and obliging agent, of the
Cumberland steamer route, gave
ns free passage on the Steamer
Brunswick to Cumberland. Bath
ing was the order of the day. As
tlffi editors left the surle, I took a
backward glance, and behold ! I
observed a change, not altogether
wonderous strange. The blue
of ocean had assumed a cast of
red. The editors of the dusty red
hills of Georgia had gone in bath
ing and come out clean.
At night we returned to Bruns

Jacksonville, arriving here after
midnight. We have all passed a
pleasant night at the Oarleton
The railroads are free, but the
hotels are sticking it to us. I am

the Georgia editors are my guest.
We will take in Jacksonville very

a little city as ever aderned the
seashore.

Jno. Kendrick has a fine school

scholars. John’s patrons like him
very much as teacher and it is

the largest school ever known in

big boasts, but the future will

lead.

are up to the top notch and a
blond smile is now the apparel of
every face.
Mr. Jno. S- Blasingame has a
new kind of corn sent to him from
the State Agricultural depart

the 9th dav of June and the stalks
are now eight feet high. Rufus
