Assistance Program is offered
to hometown owners & renters
to help reduce the electric
and gas consumption of low-
income eligible applicants
while ensuring their health
and safety. Weatherization
is not a home rehabilitation
or home repair program.
Weatherization may be able
to provide attic insulation,
floor insulation, replace space
heaters or furnaces, replace
water heaters, air sealing,
weather-stripping, threshold
and glazing. We will install an
energy conservation kit that
includes compact florescent
light bulbs, smoke alarm, carbon
monoxide detector, shower
head, and faucet aerators.

Snap Program Middle Georgia
Community Action Agency,
Inc, is working hard to raise
awareness about food stamps
benefits in the central Georgia
community. Many people have
a difficult time making ends
meet, but by helping them with
the grocery bill, food stamps
benefits allow recipients to
use their limited income on
other important basic needs
like housing, medical costs,
transportation, and utilities.
We can provide information,
assistance in enrollment, and
help with on-line recertification
in the Snap Program. For more

FFA will be selling spring
plants out of the greenhouse
starting March 13th. They will
be selling after school every
Wed. of the week. They will be
available any other day upon

bass fishermen in Crawford
County to show off their skills
in a county wide farm pond
bass fishing tournament! On
Saturday, March 30th 2013
each angler will check in at
the J.B. Hawkins field house
at 5:30 a.m. & then depart to
the farm pond of your choice
& begin competing! Weigh in
will begin at noon (12:00 p.m.)!
Late arrivals will be docked 11b
off of their total weight for each
minute pass the official weigh
in time! The entry fee for the
tournament will be $15.00 for
individuals. Artificial Bait Only/
No Live Bait Allowed. A total
of five(5) bass will be weighed
in per team & the total weight
of those five fish will determine
the winner of the tournament.
Prizes for first through third
place will be as follows: 1st
place: $200.00, 2nd place:
$100.00, 3rd place: $50.00,
Biggest fish prize: $50.00. Sign
up will be in Coach Street’s
classroom B24! Good luck &
hope to see you there! P.s. All
fish that do not survive the catch
& weigh in process will be deep
fried to perfection & served with
French fries & coleslaw for your

CCHS Technology Student
Association are offering
printed t-shirts (large and small
orders) vinyl decals, magnets,
banners and personalized
items. All funds earned help
the TSA in future projects. They
are currently taking donations
to help fund a trip to the state
competition in Robotics in the

Annual Chicken-Q hosted by
the Crawford County Historical
Society will be held at the
Middle Georgia Folk Pottery
Museum on Saturday, May 18th
in conjunction with the Georgia
JugFestand Old Knoxville Days
Festival from 11:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. This year’s menu will
include 1/2 grilled BBQ chicken,
cole slaw, chips, pickle, and
sweet tea for just $7. Sodas,
bottled water and homemade
desserts will also be available
for purchase for $1 each. All
proceeds will go to support
the Crawford County Historical
Society projects including the
preservation of the Old Knoxville
Courthouse, improving the
Benjamin Hawkins grave site,
and the continuing promotion of
tourism in Crawford County. See

Chamber office. The Chicken-Q
is also looking for volunteers
to help the day of the event.
